Crisko is this little guy I found at a thrift store, a handmade ceramic cookie jar shaped like a grumpy gnome. His hat is a chipped shade of forest green, and his beard is painted on in messy white strokes. He's named after the sound his lid makes when it clacks shut. My kids love hiding tea biscuits in him, because they say he looks like he's about to sneeze them out. He's a tiny, weirdly charming part of our kitchen now.
