Pavers and turf work well together when you want a yard that's both sturdy and green. You can set stone pavers as a short path through the grass, or frame a lawn with wide concrete slabs for a clean border. The trick is leaving enough space for the turf to breathe and drain, so you get a solid walkway without drowning the grass. I've found that a little sand between the pavers helps keep them level and lets the turf fill in naturally.
